Year 6 pupils were immersed in their History topic this week, travelling back in time to 1940 to see what life would have been like for World War 2 evacuees.

Dressed up as children from World War 2 being evacuated from London, pupils baked carrot cookies using rations.  They also hosted a memorable tea party, welcoming parents to engage in their learning about World War 1 and World War 2.

The girls, enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge, showcased their talents with two World War 2 songs and a lively Lindy Hop dance.

The event resonated with joy and appreciation, creating a special afternoon that left both pupils and parents thoroughly delighted with the insightful presentations.

“I loved the Lindy Hop – it was such fun to learn how people dancing during the war time.”Holly, Year 6 pupil
