Last Wednesday, twenty-eight runners from Hawthorns traveled to Croydon High School for the season’s first junior cross-country meet.

Competing against Croydon High School, Blackheath High School, and St Davids Prep School, the team displayed remarkable determination and perseverance, with all four teams achieving a commendable second place overall. The atmosphere was electric, fueled by the exceptional camaraderie and team spirit shown by the Bromley High athletes, who cheered each other on every step of the way.

Special recognition goes to the top finishes in each year group, showcasing the talent within the team. Orla led the pack in Year 5, securing a fantastic first place while Isla achieved an impressive second place in Year 3. April finished fourth in Year 6, demonstrating her competitive edge. Ella put in a solid performance in Year 4, finishing fifth. Overall, it was a day filled with pride, teamwork, and promising talent for the season ahead.
