A trip to the Lyric Theatre was thoroughly enjoyed by Senior School pupils, who found Hadestown, the musical adaptation of the story of Orpheus and Eurydice to be both entertaining and easily understandable.

Before attending the musical, the group dined at Pizza Express, which provided a perfect opportunity to discuss their expectations and excitement about the show. Sharing a meal together allowed them to bond and exchange thoughts, enhancing the overall experience.

The combination of enjoying a delicious meal and watching a compelling musical made the outing both educational and enjoyable. It was a perfect blend of culture and camaraderie, leaving the students with lasting memories of their time together.

“The narrative, where Orpheus falls in love and must prove his trust to bring Eurydice back from the underworld, only to fail, was captivating and well-presented through the performances and music.”Abigail, Year 10
