Congratulations to both Year 6 pupil Lucy and Year 9 pupil Scarlet for competing in the National Schools GB Biathlon Finals last weekend and emerging with great results.

The invitational National Schools Biathlon Championships, comprising over 1400 competitors aged from Year 3 to 13, took place at the University of Bath on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March.

Lucy, a resilient Year 6 pupil, emerged triumphant with a silver medal, a testament to her unwavering spirit despite injury. Competing against 93 girls of the same age group, her achievement shines even brighter.

Equally commendable was Scarlet, a determined Year 9 contestant, competed in the Senior categories and secured the 14th overall position, showcasing prowess with 12th place in swimming and 17th place in running.

“Every year since Year 6, I have competed in the biathlon, and it is always so much fun. It’s such a great environment to be in.”Scarlett, Year 9 pupil

We are so proud of both Lucy and Scarlet and of the inspiration they are to others!
