Yesterday, the Senior School hosted its annual ‘Cultural Catwalk’ celebration, organised by the Diversity Committee.

Pupils and staff adorned themselves in either national dress or the colours of their flags in order to raise funds for the charity Grow. The atmosphere in the Hall was one of pure joy, support and celebration.

“It was fabulous to see all the cultures represented and for everyone to support each other.”Tilly, Year 10 pupil

Pupils and staff strutted to music of their choice and performed some wonderful dances representing GB, India, Sri Lanka and Ireland. Glow sticks illuminated the crowd as they cheered on representatives from Jamaica, Nigeria, Russia, India, Singapore, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Ukraine, France, Romania, Norway, Spain, Colombia, Peru, and Iran.

It was a colourful, cheerful celebration culminating in the grand finale, Sister Sledge’s classic song, ‘We are Family’, collectively sung in the hall!

“The atmosphere brought us together and made us feel like family and comfortable.”Morgane, Year 10 pupil
