The Bromley High Junior School mini tennis orange and mini tennis green teams excelled at this year’s Kent Schools’ Team Championships on Tuesday, ensuring that overall, once again, we finished as the most successful school across the county. Each team played multiple timed matches, which consisted of both singles and doubles rubbers, using tie break scoring.

The orange A team finished as Kent Runners Up, being beaten in an extremely closely fought final by Amherst School, with the B team finishing in 8th place whilst the green A team were crowned Kent Champions and the green B team achieved a very creditable 3rd place; the girls were delighted to be presented with their medals by Vanessa Webb, President of Kent Tennis.  The level of play is always exceptionally high at this prestigious tournament and all our girls acquitted themselves very well, gaining much praise from the organisers not only for their outstanding results but most importantly for their sportsmanship and ability to score clearly and accurately for themselves throughout.  My thanks go to the group of parents who kindly volunteered to assist in managing our teams which enabled so many girls to enjoy playing in this event.
