During an eye-opening trip to Oxford, a group of Year 12 students immersed themselves in the university’s rich academic tapestry.

Guided by a Bromley High School alumna, Sophia Short, the Year 12 students delved into the practicalities of Oxford life. Exploring various colleges, they discovered the nuanced differences between them, gaining insight into their potential future.

The serene deer park at Magdalen College captivated their imagination, offering a glimpse of the campus’s natural beauty. As they toured St Peter’s, they absorbed valuable knowledge about facilities and accommodations. Yet, it was the Union’s library that truly enchanted them, housing ancient tomes of literary treasures.

“It was really interesting to hear about how the debating life at Oxford worked and the amount of famous, and sometimes controversial, people have gone to speak there.”Lydie, Year 12 student
