This week one of our Yr 10 girls, Nehemiah met the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan. Nehemiah has been actively involved with the Croydon Youth Forum and was recently elected Deputy for the London Youth Assembly. As part of her role in representing the young people of Croydon, Nehemiah was invited to meet the Mayor to discuss a broad range of issues affecting young people. Alongside other Youth Assembly Members she discussed topics ranging from knife crime to mental health and crucially measures which could be taken to deal with these important matters. As a next step Nehemiah and her fellow members are working on a new preventative project around these issues. Fantastic to see a Bromley High girl using her voice in such a positive and constructive way. We look forward to hearing more about her projects.
