We were delighted to welcome Sam Evans from the European Commission to Bromley High School on Thursday 14th March to talk to us about the current Brexit parliamentary impasse! Sam joined Ms Lewis’ sixth form elective, Current Affairs, leading a session on the history of the EU, and explaining just how crucial it is to understand the Union before attempting to understand our current political situation. The session was interactive with the girls choosing which issues are most important to them: the single market, climate change, and healthcare were on top! Sam also delivered a fantastic lunch-time session to a wider audience of pupils. Quizzes and a lively discussion dominated the hour, which concluded with a ‘what next’ pupil vote…the majority of our girls voted for a Second Referendum!
