On Saturday 23rd March Bromley High School opened its door to parents, teachers and visitors from other
schools for its inaugural Positive Parenting event.
With a packed programme over the senior school site and seventeen speakers and presenters, this event offered practical workshops on first aid, Qi Gong, defibrillator training and mindfulness and informative talks on topics from managing bullying, living with teenagers and developing resilience. Other seminars included, ADHD and sleep, well-being and body image and understanding and regulating emotions to name but a few. The speakers were all experts in their field and included some home-grown talent from amongst our own teachers. Our key note speaker was Dr Aric Sigman whose presentation on how to prevent mental health problems in children was captivating and inspirational. The experience was welcomed by all who attended and who found it informative, supportive and interesting.

We are already planning next year’s Positive Parenting event and look forward to welcoming even more
parents to learn how to help support their daughters navigate childhood and adolescence.
