The Bebras Computing Challenge sparks students’ interest in computational thinking globally, involving participants from over 60 countries. This year, our Year 5 pupils teamed up while Year 6 individuals entered the national competition for ages 10 to12.
Notably, over half of our Year 5 teams achieved merits or distinctions in the 8 to 10 age category, with a similar accomplishment in the 10 to12 category for Year 6 participants.
Further celebrating success, 14 Year 6 girls earned Gold Awards, earning them invitations to the prestigious Oxford University Computing Challenge’s Round 1 in 2024. This opportunity will see them compete nationally against students in Years 6, 7, and 8.
Congratulations to all participants in this year’s challenge!
