Scholarships are awarded as a fixed percentage reduction in fees, usually between 5 and 20%, for the full two years of our Sixth Form.
Sixth Form Music Scholarships are awarded to students who can demonstrate skill, competence and commitment to the subject and who will also help to promote the department on a wider level throughout the school.
Eligibility
- You must apply online for this scholarship by Monday 14th October 2024.
- Candidates should demonstrate outstanding ability in any orchestral instrument, piano or voice, as well as musical potential and a passion for the subject.
- Candidates are to submit a supporting letter outlining their strengths, successes and ambitions and also a reference from their first study Instrumental/Vocal Teacher.
Selection process
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an audition and informal interview on w/c 11th November 2024.
At the audition candidates will be asked to play two contrasting pieces on their main instrument/voice with another piece on a second instrument/voice if desired. There will be an aural test and each candidate will be asked about her musical interests and ambitions.

- Scholar society open mic: each term, scholars will be invited to present at an informal event for parents, teachers and special guests from different areas of scholarship and the workplace on an area of interest or performance depending on scholarship area.
