This week, the acting Head of our Junior School Mrs Powell, together with Senior pupils Anna and Ashvika, Junior Head Girl and Deputy, Roza and Imogen, joined members of the BHPA to present Marjorie McClure School with Toniebox kits to help their children access stories and foster a love of reading.
Marjorie McClure School, nestled in our local community, plays a vital role in providing quality education and support to children with special educational needs.
Having raised money through our BHPA and Acorn Book Club fundraising event during Book Week 2023, we were thrilled to learn of the opening of the newly situated Marjorie McClure site and their fantastic library facilities. From an early age, the girls at Bromley High develop a passion and love for reading, moving from curious listeners to avid readers and scholars. We hope that the presentation of the Toniebox kits will allow the children of Marjorie McClure to access stories in an appropriate way so they too can experience a similar sense of adventure and anticipation.
Watch out for further updates when we visit and donate more Toniebox kits to local SEN schools across South East London.
