We are delighted to share the outstanding A level success of this year’s Upper Sixth. For this cohort of pupils, who had missed out on the experience of sitting GCSE examinations during the pandemic, this was their first set of public examinations.

Headmistress Emily Codling, commented, “I would like to praise the achievements of this amazing year group as they have shone in their exams. Not only are they now moving to pursue their futures at prestigious universities, but they are also embarking on life-changing gap years and exciting places of work. These remarkable girls have used their bright minds to carve out their bright futures, as passionate, independent and kind young adults. Without a doubt, they will make our world a better place.”

Bromley High maintains its traditional strength in STEM subjects with students this year particularly focussed on Engineering, opting to study degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and two pupils studying Mechanical Engineering, all at Russell Group universities. Other STEM subjects include Medicine, Dentistry, Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences.

We are happy to report that Bromley High School bucks the national downward trend in young people studying modern languages and thus, we were particularly pleased that six pupils are studying a range of modern foreign languages (including French and Spanish) at prestigious institutions including Cambridge, Durham and Bristol.

The school’s strength in creative subjects was again reflected by a number of pupils opting for Art Foundation, Photography, Product Design and Set Design. Many students continue to pursue future careers in finance and the City studying courses such as Law, Economics, Business Management, Mathematics and Finance.

We also extend our warmest congratulations to pupils Hannah B (previous Head Girl and pictured left with her family) and Charlotte B who achieved A*A*A and four A*s respectively, securing their places at Cambridge University to study History with French and Geography.

In keeping with the esteemed tradition of Bromley High School girls who have ventured abroad for higher education, we are thrilled to announce that student Morolake has received multiple offers from prominent institutions in the USA, including the University of California, Syracuse University, and the University of Southern California, all accompanied by substantial scholarships. Ultimately, she has chosen to accept a scholarship from the prestigious Amherst College, renowned as one of the United States’ premier Liberal Arts Colleges, often referred to as “Little Ivies”.

Pupils Amalia and Destiny are also embarking on international educational journeys to pursue careers in medicine and have set their sights on studying in Cyprus.

We wish all our exceptional Upper Sixth pupils a bright future.
