Year 4 experienced a thoroughly enjoyable ‘India Day’ as they completed their Geography topic.
Girls dressed in colourful outfits, complete with jewellery and smiling faces! Everybody made a chapati and (thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers) tasted Jeera Rice as well as Mung Daal. Rangoli Patterns were created in a calm atmosphere before trying Indian dancing. Ramya from Year 11 visited the Junior School and played her Sita to the girls.
“My highlight of India Day was listening to Ramya play a traditional Indian instrument called a veena.”Amelia
“I loved India Day! My favourite activity was cooking chapattis.”April
“Dancing was the best! We learnt four moves: light bulbs, peacocks, arrows and head wriggle.”Priya
